Plan your red cedar shingle, solid clapboard or trim orders!
Unfortunately, the industry hasn't seen any improvement in the area of red cedar. In the past month, the area has experienced river flooding, a heat wave and a logger strike. All red cedar product prices are at unprecedented levels and sadly, there doesn't appear to be any relief on the horizon. Please make every effort to plan your projects well ahead if you'll be needing cedar products. The sooner we can get our orders in, the better the turnaround for you.
New Home Sales Take Surprising 2.8% Jump in July
Sales of new one-family houses in July 2007 were at a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 870,000 according to the U.S. Census Bureau and the Department of Housing and Urban Development. This is 2.8% above the revised June rate of 846,000. To read the whole article, click here

Wood Pellets Available for Pick Up or Delivery
Chace is now stocking New England Premium Wood Pellets for your convenience. Pellets can be purchased by the bag or by the ton and are stocked at all three stores. The price per bag is $6.11. The discounted per ton (50 bags = 1 ton) price is $250.50.
There is a flat $25 delivery fee for pellets and, as with all Chace deliveries, they can be placed wherever you'd like them upon delivery.
Place your order today, as the season nears pellet prices tend to increase, so plan ahead and get your pellets at the lowest possible price!
