FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
PLAINFIELD, Connecticut (August 23, 2007) –
We are announcing a strategic initiative to combine our two stores in Plainfield, Connecticut into a stronger single entity at the lumber yard location on Route 14A to better serve our customers. Relocating the design products of Chace Home Décor to the lumberyard will mirror the successful model of our stores in Woodstock and Willington.
Chace Home Décor, the interior design specialty store including flooring, kitchen and bath design, paint and accessories, opened in April of 2005. Chace Building Supply on Route 14A, which carries a wide array of building materials including lumber, windows and doors, hardware, power tools and much more, was opened in February of 2007. Combining these two stores that are only a mile apart will give customers a “one-stop” option for the full gamut of expertise in the building materials and design.
The merger of the two locations will bring the extensive product knowledge of all employees from both stores together to create a true building material and design resource at the Chace Building Supply location on Route 14A. We plan to begin operation with the new single-store model with flooring, paint and kitchen and bath design displays at the 144 Route 14A (Plainfield Pike) location as of October 1, 2007.
